Traditional Acupuncture

Natalie descends from a long line of Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors. Having been born in Western Canada, she has the unique ability to weave her Traditional Family Medicine, with modern practices. Her treatments possess a gentle, yet subtle approach, that makes them authentically special.

Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can not only treat pain and help with injury rehabilitation, it can also target specific muscles to fire to train. In addition, TCM can treat a large array of ailments such as anxiety, sleep issues, stress, chronic fatigue, headaches, digestive problems, or infertility.

Natalie is passionate at guiding people throughout their healing journeys. There are various ways to treat seemingly unexplainable diseases and issues. Chinese medicine likes to find the root of the problem, thus, customized treatment plans can last an indefinite amount of time. The disease or problem did not start overnight, nor can we expect it to be fixed overnight. It is Natalie's goal to help create a safe comfortable healing space, that also provides education and group support.

Acupuncture Treatments may include

Acupuncture

During an Acupuncture treatment, sterile, one-time only usage filiform needles are used to activate specific acupuncture points to help the body recognize any blockages, in order to regain its natural balance and circulation.

Blood-Letting

Blood-letting is a very traditional method in Chinese Medicine to let a few drops of blood out of specific acupuncture points for specific ailments. The concept in general, is to take away something that may be blocking a meridian channel or in excess in a specific body area, similar to how a plumber may unclog a pipe. In this case, we use blood to be the avenue to unclog the “qi flow”.

Fire Cupping is a technique suctioning “cups” over specific areas of the body to improve blood circulation and remove any unwanted toxins.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is the application of burning Artemisiae Vulgaris, Chinese Mugwort, at indicated acupuncture points and body areas to stimulate healing with heat and blood circulation. Moxibustion can commonly be used during, but not inclusive to, sport acupuncture treatments, or mother warming / female nourishing treatments, or immune system boosting.
